Congratulation For The Golden Globe and Oscar

It’s been a while since my last post; I break my hiatus to share a congratulatory post for my all-time favorite actor, Cillian Murphy πŸ₯°

I was planning to review his latest movies but I no longer have much free time. I will definitely review the movies …one day.

Cillian Murphy has been my most favorite actor since 2010. Before the hiatus of blog, I always shared news related to this handsome talented actor monthly. I love him way before he became more famous through Peaky Blinders.

Although I don’t share much about Cillian in my blog but I still follow his career. I was so happy when he was nominated for Best Actor in Golden Globe for his role in Oppenheimer. He was previously nominated as Best Actor for his role in Breakfast on Pluto ( which I believe should be won by Cillian ). I was so thrilled when he finally won the award

Cillian Murphy in Music Videos

Hello Fellow Bloggers πŸ™‚

It has been ages since my last post. It is not yet a come back. I am currently on school’s holiday, end of semester break. At least I have some time with my computer to do some blogging (not only to score my students’ works or do something related to my work).

What better to start than sharing about my MOST favorite actor. If you think I have forgotten about this awesome actor with deep blue eyes and charming voice…think again πŸ™‚

I once shared Cillian in 8:58 music video where he did several silly dances (here) and I want to share his other two music videos. Apart from being in music video, he also has directed one music video (here)

13 Movies and Series I Watched Lately

Hello again πŸ™‚

As I have written last week, I want to share 13 movies/series that I watched from July to December. I don’t have enough time to review them properly so I will only give you the trailers and what my thought on the movies/series. I actually watched more than 13 because my son always sleeps before 8 pm, and when I didn’t have work to do (marking essay, tasks, making planner, exam, etc) and too tired to do anything…I turned to movies. My son woke up once in while and all I had to do was breastfed him and he went back to sleep.

Here are the movies I can share for now πŸ™‚

#1 Starwars – The Last Jedi

I love Starwars (the old trilogy and this new trilogy. The trilogy in between bored me).Β  All I can say is, if you love Starwars then this one is a MUST watched movie. I love the story, I love the drama, I love the comedy, and I love the action.

My rating:

Starwars also has special meaning to me. The Force Awakes was the first movie My husband and I watched as a married couple. The Last Jedi was the first movie I watched after having a baby and also Anka’s first experience to sleep in cinema πŸ˜‰ . I watched the movie at 9.15 pm so that Anka could sleep through out the movie and didn’t bother other audiences.

13 Movies I watched Lately

I watched quite a lot of movies lately because my husband loves movies as much as me…though our preference sometimes a bit different.

Out of all the movies I watched lately, here are the 13 movies I want to share with everyone…not only the best but also the boring ones…surprisingly the boring ones come from my favorite actors 😦

#1 The Revenant 5 stars

the_revenant_2015_film_posterSynopsis (imdb):

A frontiersman on a fur trading expedition in the 1820s fights for survival after being mauled by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team.

I love love love this movie. The cinematography was great, the acting was brilliant and the story was memorable.

It didn’t surprise me when the movie won 3 Oscars, especially in cinematography and actor. Leo was brilliant and full of emotion.

I know for sure I will watch this movie again one day.

Upcoming Cillian Murphy’s Movies

It’s been a while since I posted about my favorite actor, Cillian Murphy.

You might think I have forgotten about this super talented handsome Irish actor with amazing blue eyes since I got married…well you’re wrong!!! I still adore him.

Based on True Story: Everest; The Emperor’s Cook; In The Heart of The Sea; Legend; Angker

Finally…my first viewing review in 2016 and after a long hiatus. If anyone wondered where I had been, you can read about it here>> Reasons For My Long Hiatus.

My hiatus was only on blogging, I still continued my other hobbies which are watching and hiking. I actually watched a lot of movies and TV Series BUT I will limit my first review only to Movies and TV Series based on True Story. This time I will write my review similar to the way Andina @ Inspired Ground writes her review. Unfortunately I can’t leave comments at her blog since she is using Disqus. I always had problems with that thing.

Moving on…Here are the Movies and TV Series based on True Story that I watched for the past three months:

Everest (2015)

everestI love hiking since college. When I found out about this movie, it immediately became my anticipated movie. I didn’t care who are the cast what matter to me was only the fact that it was about hiking in Mount Everest and it was based on true story. Peaky Blinder Series 2 – A Review

Peaky Blinders Logo

Β I have been delaying writing my review of this second series of Peaky Blinders because I have so many feelings toward it…not entirely on the positive side.

Back in 2013, I wrote 10 Reasons Why You Should Watch Peaky Blinders; the reasons are: The Characters, The Story/Plot, Thomas Shelby, Strong Female Characters, The Music, The Setting and The Cinematography, The Cast, Based on True Story, Less Violence, and of course Cillian Murphy.

Most of those ten reasons still can be found in Peaky Blinders Series 2 and that makes series watchable….but there are also other things that slightly took my interest away.

Let’s start with the good stuff first.

Peaky Blinders 2 still focuses on the Shelby Family. Thomas Shelby is still as cold as ice and frighten by everyone in Birmingham. He is still the brain of the family. He wants to expand his business to London and to do that he needs to pick a side. There’s a war between gang lord Alfie Solomons and crime boss Darby Sabini. Thomas picks Solomons’ side. At the same time, Major Campbell has chosen him to assassinate someone on behalf of the country. Continue reading “Peaky Blinder Series 2 – A Review”

Happy 39th Birthday, Dearest Cillian Murphy

I can’t believe time goes so fast. I hardly realize that this month is even May 😦 I haven’t prepared anything special for my most favorite actor’s birthday. IΒ  currently on school’s trip and write this from my phone. I have finished watching Peaky Blinders but haven’t had time to review it yet. Anyway…. Sorry for not being able to keep up with monthly Murphy … Continue reading Happy 39th Birthday, Dearest Cillian Murphy

5 Most Anticipated Movies of 2015: From Japan to UK, From the Past to the Future

I haven’t been doing this in ages. The last post about anticipated movies was November 2014, at that time I only had one movie I am dying to see in 2015….at least now I have 5. I wait for these movies for different reasons:

I am going to list them by their released months:

July 17 (USA)

Mr Holmes

I always love Sherlock Holmes. That’s the only reason!! And from the trailer, this Sherlock Holmes seems true to the character in the book.

Cillian’s Silly Act in 8:58’s Music Video

I haven’t been posting Cillian’s Monthly Post regularly anymore now 😦 … all my reviews (book, movie, series) were also very late. I kinda miss the time when I had a lot of free time.

Well, anyway…although I don’t post about Cillian in a regular month anymore, that DOESN’T mean I have forgotten him or don’t know what’s going on with him lately…I just don’t have the time to sit nicely and write all I have read.

However, seeing him doing silly dance is a MUST share news πŸ˜‰ Continue reading “Cillian’s Silly Act in 8:58’s Music Video”

Peaky Blinders Series 2 – An Opening Post

Peaky Blinders Logo

As I have written in my latest Murphy News, Peaky Blinder series 2 will start this year…well this month to be exact.

It was aired on October 2, but I didn’t have to watch it that soon because I was on Holiday. I have just watched few hours ago and I have to say that I am liking it so far.

Just like in series one, I am not going to write a review for each episode because that will give a lot of spoiler to such a great TV show. Writing second episode here only means I have to spoil episode one….I will have to hold myself till all 6 episodes already been aired.

The first episode of the second series started strong. We immediately see two major enemies of the Shelby. Let’s move back a bit. This second series takes place 2 years after the first one (10 reasons why you should watch peaky Blinders) where the Shelby business has grown. However, just like everything in life, the taller you become the harder the wind blow. Someone has been watching Thomas and wants him to work for him/her (not known yet) by force. On the other hand, Thomas wants to expand the family business to London. Some members of his family are against his decision but Thomas is still the controller of that small family gang. Despite his touching speech about the business being a modern company where women will be heard, he still proceeds regardless what the women plead.
