Teaser Tuesday – The Destiny of Shoes

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  1. Grab your current read
  2. Open to a random page
  3. Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  4. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  5. Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

The Destiny of Shoes is the 4th short story out of 11 short stories compiled in The Square Persimmon by Takashi Atoda.

My teaser comes from page 74
And yet, because shoes went on the feet, perhaps they could take a person somewhere, be the person willing or not.

“The frightening ones are the shoes that want to die”

So far, it has been one great short story to another…I truly enjoy this book
