“Life is too short to read bad books.” I’d always heard that, but I still read books through until the end no matter how bad they were because I had this sense of obligation.
That is, until this week when I tried (really tried) to read a book that is utterly boring and unrealistic. I had to stop reading.
Do you read everything all the way through or do you feel life really is too short to read bad books?
Hehehe it’s reaally easy to answer…the title shows my answer clearly.
I would stop reading a book I don’t enjoy instantly. The extreem case happened to Houses Without Doors by Peter Straub (I already talked about this in my previous BTT)…that bad book made me avoid his other books.
I sometimes judge a book by its cover and mostly I got lucky but sometimes I don’t…and when I have this bad luck, I prefer to stop reading it and find other book to read….unless there is no other book to read or something force me to read it.
Life is indeed too short…so, why bother reading something I don’t enjoy and miss the one I might really enjoy??
How bout you?
