Vamps Live @ Jakarta 2013

First thing I want to say is:

MY GOD!!! HYDE IS SO HANDSOME!!!

This a very late live report as I have been extremely busy lately…so busy I hardly have time to reply comments on my own blog! All the busyness will be over on December 6 (Thank God). Busyness aside, I am glad I have this concert in the middle of my stressful weeks. Hyde is amazingly handsome and he had brightened my busy week.

As I have written in my previous post (Bye Bye One OK Rock and Hello Hyde) that I will see VAMPS concert on November 29…November 29 was last Friday. And I totally had a blast despite the fact that I can sing ONLY 1 song from VAMPS.

Why did I go to a concert where I hardly know the songs of the band? There’s ONLY 1 reason…HYDE (Or you can also call him Haido)

You all know (well, if you’ve been around my blog for years) that I am a L’Arc-Addict, I love L’Arc~en~Ciel more than ANY band in this world. I like a lot of bands but NONE I love more than L’Arc~en~Ciel. Members of Laruku (sort for L’Arc~en~Ciel) have made a sort of agreement to have solo projects in between their band activity. Hyde has another band called VAMPS. The members are Hyde and K.A.Z. To be honest, their music isn’t my type of music as I like rock music that still has nice tune and the vocalist is actually singing more than shouting. I have tried to listen to VAMPS but despite the love I have for Hyde (in Laruku) I can’t be VAMPS fan. I love Hyde but when he sings in Laruku.

Although I don’t listen to VAMPS….BUT I will never let the opportunity to see Hyde again slip off of my hands 😉

When I heard that VAMPS was going to have a concert in Jakarta, I immediately buy the ticket. It was the first concert I attended without even knowing the songs of the band…it was the first time I spent quite a lot of money JUST to see a man dancing around on the stage 😉

Did I spend my money wisely? YES I DID!!

Throughout the concert all I could think about is only 1 sentence, “Oh My God! Oh My God! He is so darn handsome…he TOO handsome!!!” I was a hardcore fangirl at that time!! I literally couldn’t keep my eyes off of him. I don’t care if there’s another member on the stage (unlike when watching Laruku, I divided my view to all four members because I love the band as a whole). I am sorry K.A.Z and the additional member, I came for Hyde and Hyde alone.

How was the performance??

I consider myself VERY LUCKY!!! I had seen Hyde at his prettiest look (he is more beautiful than ANY woman I have ever seen in real life) last year…and this year, I saw him at his most handsome look!! I once wrote a top-5 list called Top 5 Men To drool on, everyone assumed I would put Cillian Murphy as my number 1, but how can I put him on top of Hyde when I already see FOR REAL how beautiful and handsome (at the same time) Hyde is!

Hyde was amazing on stage!! He looked SO DIFFERENT to Hyde in Laruku. It was like seeing two different vocalists!! One so elegant while the other so manly…so full of anger…so Rock n Roll!

I hardly know the songs…but I enjoyed the concert nevertheless. I jumped along, I shouted at chorus using English (like in the song called Revolution). And I sang so loud when they sang TROUBLE. I love the atmosphere!! I have been to many concert and let me say that Japanese Rock Fans are more amazing than Western Rock fans. I haven’t yet seen a LIVE by Japanese bands with audience sitting around enjoying the songs. ALL the concert I attended showed how solid JRock fans are. We all jump, we all shout, we all sing, we are all enjoying the concert to the fullest eventhough we don’t know the songs.

I could see clearly on Hyde’s face that he loved playing in Jakarta. He enjoyed the atmosphere between the band and the audience. We were one at that time, no boundary of language, no gap between us. That was another great night to remember!

After that LIVE…I quite enjoy some of their songs 😉 but I still won’t consider myself a fan (sorry Hyde)

Just like when Hyde came to Jakarta with the best band in the world, L’Arc~en~Ciel, he tried to speak in Bahasa Indonesia. He said many things but I had difficulty catching up his words. I recorded one of his moment with Bahasa Indonesia 😉

He said: “Lapar banget nih!” (I am so hungry) “Mau makan penonton yang paling seru!” (I want to eat the loudest/merriest audience) “DIMANA YA?” (Where are you?)

Again I was so lucky to be able to see Hyde so close for 2 consecutive year!

Looking forward to see him again in the future 🙂

Unlike when I watched Laruku, I didn’t want to take pictures or videos because I wanted to sing along with them and enjoyed them with every second only looking at them not my camera, in this VAMPS concert…I took some pictures and videos because I hardly sang (I still jumped along the songs).

It was a great night…I look forward to see Hyde again in the future (tho I much prefer him with Larc 😉 )

I am glad I can enjoy the concert with my fellow Hydeist, Archiel (the man on the right) and fate brought me and Winnie (the woman right next to me) together. Winnie and I know each other from my blog and twitter. She sent me a message to my FB telling me her phone number…but I didn’t even have time to tweet let alone open my FB. BUT…we met out of fate 😉 I asked a woman where to start the queue and then she introduced her name and I was like “the same Winnie from the twitter?”

Nothing better than spending a great night with my long time friend and new met friend 🙂
