Teaser Tuesday – The Naked Traveler

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  1. Grab your current read
  2. Open to a random page
  3. Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  4. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  5. Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This is my 1st Indonesian book of this year. although I am an Indonesian, I rarely read books from my own country because the genre rarely suited my taste. This book that I am reading now is very funny and informative.

It’s about a woman named Trinity whose hobby is traveling/backpacking around the world. The book consist of all the funny and unforgettable moments she encountered during all her backpacking days.

I don’t know if the book has already been translated into English or not, so I have to translate my teaser. The title of the book is The Naked Traveler (Naked is anagram from Nekad, an Indonesian term for someone who is willing to do face all kind of risks ), written by Trinity

My teaser is from page 72 (it’s going to be more than 2 sentences)

The funniest transportation is in Philippine, in Boracay Island to be exact. When we arrived, the boat stopped far away from the shore. so, we have to let our selves become wet from the waist down. There were so many men near the boat, I sort of think that they are porter. But I was shocked to know that they are not baggage porter but HUMAN PORTER! I saw people being carried one by one to the shore so that those people won’t get wet.
