A Random Blog of Everything I like
Yesterday, April 15th, was Tax Day here in the U.S., which means lots of lucky people will get refunds of over-paid taxes.
Whether you’re one of them or not, what would you spend an unexpected windfall on? Say … $50? How about $500?
(And, this is a reading meme, so by rights the answer should be book-related, but hey, feel free to go wild and splurge on anything you like.)
What will I do if I get a $50 or $500 tax refund?
Hahaha I would be glad to spend every dime of it to buy lots and lots of books and maybe some movies based on that book. I’ll imagine having $500 😉
The first thing I am going to buy is at least 10 books by Stephen King because he is my favorite writter and I’ve been dying to collect all of his books…I don’t mind collecting them all at the same time tho I don’t know when I am going to finish reading them all…Knowing I have stock of his books has set my mind at ease. And of course some of the movies based on his books…there are quite a number of them.
I know I can buy more than 10books with that $500 but as much as I love Mr.King I wouldn’t spend all of my reading time on ONLY his books. I like reading another writter in between my Stephen King’s books.
The other books I’am going to buy will come from Haruki Murakami, Michael Chricton, John Grisham, Jodi Picoult, and other books that will be bought based on my Instinct (I never read reviews…so it is always based on my instinct and my friend’s opinion). Those are for fictions.
For non-fiction, since I am still sharpening my Japanese and just starting on German…I will spend the rest of the money on books that will increase my Japanese and German ability.
$500 is more than my 2 months salary…so it has been a good dream writting this reply for BTT.
How bout you guys? and Happy BTT!
