A Random Blog of Everything I like
There are many dorama about teacher-students relationship, some are good and inspirational while others don’t even worth to watch.
The 1st dorama about teacher-students relationship that I watched was called Let’s Go To School. It’s about an English Teacher named Sachi. Sachi is very cheerful, she build a relation that is more like friends rather than teacher. Although she acts like friend with her students but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t gain respect from her students. She always put her self in between, there are times to be a friend and there are times to be a teacher. I watched this dorama when I was still in Junior High and how I wish I had that kind of teacher…the one that you can share problems and gossips with, the one that look at students more than JUST students. Sachi had become my guideline in becoming teacher, I couldn’t have that kind of teacher so I wish to become that kinda teacher to my students…have I become like Sachi?
Couldn’t answer that, only my students can answer that!! I hope I have.
The 2nd dorama was GTO (here). I think I watched it at Senior High (or maybe college…I’m not really sure). Great Teacher Onizuka tells a story about an ex gangster who become a teacher and hates other teachers who said that bad students are nothing but society garbage. He also builds teacher-students relationship based on friendship. I’m re-watching this dorama for the 3rd time this holiday…so I’ll write its full review later on. All I can say now is this is one great dorama.
The 3rd was Gokusen. (here) Although I have watched this dorama twice, but I had never had time to write about it…so I’ll be watching it for the 3rd time this holiday than write about it. Yankumi is a teacher who comes from Yakuza family. It is not far different from GTO. Yankumi and Onizuka often fight to defend their students. Too bad gokusen 2 and 3 aren’t as good as the 1st one, they simply repeated the story in a different episode.
The 4th was so bad that I couldn’t even remember the title anymore.
The 5th was Dragon Zakura. It is entirely about teacher-students relationship because Sakuraji kenji isn’t a teacher, he is a lawyer trying to help a bad reputation school. I had written about this dorama before (here). It’s a very good dorama which remind us to be smart in a smart way. Those not so smart students manage to change them self without cheating. One of Kenji sentence is Be smart so that no one will fool you and be smart by studying…that’s why I hate students who cheat on exam.
I’m still waiting for another great dorama that talks about education and teacher-students relationship…I can put some of the ideas into my own perspective.
