A Random Blog of Everything I like
I have just bought the newest DVD+CD of the greatest band in the world, MUSE!! It worth every rupiah I’ve spent. The CD is for the 1st day of the concert, June 16 2007, and the DVD is for the 2nd concert, June 17 2007, at Wembley Stadium.
The concert started with an interesting entrance, they were lift up from the smaller stage with small white papers flying around them and then they walked through a runaway to the big stage. The stage was huge and full of blinding light with two round antennas. They opened the show by playing Knight of Cydonia and followed by Hysteria, SMBH, MOTP, BnH and Hoodoo. Before playing the next song, matt asked the audience to clap their hands as he played Apocalypse Please. He stayed on his piano to play Feeling Good. Next came Invincible with its incredible guitar interlude. Starlight followed after that song, the audience clapped their hands following the beat of the song. And then TiRO was played. Every time I saw TiRO, it always takes me back to the unforgettable moment at Gelora Bung Karno…the audience were jumping up and down. It was so intense and joyful to watch. Muse didn’t slow down the pace at all, they played Newborn afterward. This song was played full of energy. When the song was over, they took a short break.
During the concert, the background changed all the time. Sometimes it represented the song, sometimes it was merely abstract pictures. Matt changed his guitar from time to time and as usual can not stop moving around tirelessly. I have never see Chris as a handsome man before, but in this concert, he was the most handsome of these three. Matt wore red outfit and Chris wore black outfit, both were wearing formal outfit. Dom caught my eyes instantly coz he was wearing bright green trouser.
Not long after they went inside, they came out again looking a bit different, especially Matt, he changed his outfit with black jacket and white trouser. Dom asked the audience to raise their mobile phone and move it around. Matt came out carrying acoustic guitar and said “this is for those unsung heroes” and started playing Soldier’s Poem. The audience obediently followed Dom instruction and it created a touch full moment as if the stars were inside the stadium. Unintended followed afterward. The quietness and Matt’s beautiful voice made my eyes a bit glassy and chill running through my body. God I love this song. Too bad they didn’t play it when they came to Jakarta. I could have sworn that I would cry at the concert if I hear this song. Muse really used this time to touch everyone’s heart coz they played Blackout right after that. Two giants air ball was seen above the audience, they bore two acrobatic females. And then Matt balanced his guitar on his hand above his head. I really like that moment and it made a great picture.
After all those slow songs, they decided to raise audience’s spirit. They started playing Plug in Baby, and everyone started jumping around again. Stockholm Syndrome was played afterward and the crowd became so excited. And just like Jakarta, they closed this concert with a very political song Take a Bow. They wrapped the concert by saying thank you, good bye and see you soon.
All I can say about this concert was
“I WISH I WAS THERE!!!”
