Rankudai Ninja Rantaro

I knew Ninja Rantaro from its anime. The moment I saw the anime, I became addicted to it because it was (still is) a very hilarious anime. I, then, knew about the existence of its Manga…but I was too late, the Manga is already hard to find. I managed to get hold of 1 volume, volume 4. I have been re-reading it almost every year and it never stopped laughing.

Ninja Rantaro is written by Soubei Amako

I just realized that I haven’t write anything about this hilarious Manga, so I decided to re-read it (again!!) and write about it

The story takes place in a school for ninja (in old Japan, not modern Japan).  The center of the story is on 3 1st grader named Rantaro, Kirimaru and Shinbe. Apparently, the whole 1st grade is considered as trouble maker…BUT they are very loyal.

Rantaro comes from a family of ordinary Ninja, their parents wanted him to be a better Ninja, hence they send him to that school. Shinbe is a fat boy who comes from a wealthy family, because he comes from a rich family, he tends to be a bit slow and lazy. Kirimaru is an orphan. His house and family were burned down during the war, but he manages to say alive by doing a lot of side job. He is very stingy and weak of the word ‘for free’.

I have just finished reading Cage by Kenzo Kitakata (I gave it’s teaser last week), the next plan is to read one out 5 Stephen King’s books that I have on my shelf (See TBR-List on the right bar), but I need to clear my head a bit from the thriller in Cage to the next Thriller by the great Horror Writer, SK…

So….

I’m using today as my Manga day…I’m planning to read 3 Manga today (and start reading new novel tomorrow), I’ve just finished one. And the Manga I want to share to you all is my second Manga of the day.

I have share Manga on my previous Teaser Tuesday (it was Onepiece by Eiichiro Oda), this time I am not only sharing you the words but also the picture

A bit unusual, maybe, but what can I say? This is my current read after all.

It’s a Manga called Ninja Rantaro (Vol.4) by Soubei Amako. The story is about a school of Ninja in old Japan…but don’t expect to find serious ninja in this book…hahaha this is one hilarious Manga!! Rantaro, Kirimaru and Shinbe are 1st grade Nintama (Ninja to-be) and they are the worst Nintama in this school…but they are very loyal and kind.
