Mischief Master Class by Snoppy and Annette Vivian

IMG_1040

Mischief is for life.
Mischief has no boundaries.
Mischief knows no border either.
Mischief also crosses species. True, most of my examples are from us Dogs, however, I’ve also got some examples from Mischievous Cats and even a Mischievous Turtle!

Quoted from Mischief Master class

First of all, I have to keep Kroten away from the computer as she is so eager to write the review for Mischief Master Class. I wouldn’t let her do it because I am sure she would brag about her appearance in the book and forgot to write the most important thing…which is reviewing the  book!

If you never come to Kroten, Papoe and Kurome’s blog…you most likely don’t know that they are mischievous little turtles and I have been sharing their mischief on a blog hop hosted by Snoopy at Snoopy’s Dogblog.

When Snoppy asked us to share a bit of our loved one’s mischief, I immediately shared about my dear Kroten. Snoopy and his mom, Annette Vivian, made a book out of so many mischief shared by many pet-parents. The book was finally published on Amazon on December 2012. Snoopy and Annette kindly sent us a copy, they are angels in disguise…not only they let me share a turtle mischief in a book originally meant for dogs, they also sent it all the way from US to Indonesia. Thank you Snoopy and Annette ((hug)) Read more of this post

Flash in The Pan : Fish Joke

“Fish!”
“What about it?”
“Make a joke about it! You’re good with jokes, right?”
“Why should I?”
“ ‘Coz I am bored!”
“So?”
“Come on! Cheer me up a little will you!”
“I don’t feel like it!”
“Why?”
“Because my pet fish just died last night.”
“oh…Sorry”

5 Movies With Beautiful Human-Animal Relationship

Click this button to see my other top-5 list

Last Monday, I posted my review of How To Train Your Dragon and We Bought A Zoo, those movies made me eager to write this top 5 post.

Animals are amazing creatures, they can be extremely wild but at the same time they can also be extremely gentle and loveable. I always love animals since I was a kid. I wanted to have a pet since then but the wish finally came true when I adopted my sweet baby turtle, Kame. I had a cat long time ago but he only stayed for 2 months and then we had to give him away. Kame was my first real pet.

I always know that animals, no matter how wild they are can show love toward their human.

Take a look at this video first. I saw the full documentary years ago. No matter how many times I see it, it always brings tears to my eyes…love between human and animals is so beautiful. Christian was bought by the two gentlemen. They raised him till he was too big for their apartment. For his own good, they returned Christian to Africa. A year later, they missed him and went to Africa…and Christian still recognized them.

I wish someone would make a movie out of this beautiful documentary one day.

As for my own experience, no one I know in real life ever believe me when I told them that my turtles can show me that they love me till I show them Kame’s and Kroten’s video. In their eyes, turtles are not smart enough to show compassion…well, think again guys!

Let’s move on to the top 5 movies that showed beautiful relationship between human and animals. This list is not made because of how good the movie is, it is  made because of how beautiful the relationship isthere are some spoilers here. Read more of this post

A Poem for Kame – Happy Gotcha Day

Dear Kame…
They told me turtles are creepy
They told me turtles have no emotion
They told me turtles are lousy pets

Dear Kame…
If I had listened to them, I wouldn’t know how beautiful turtles are
If I had listened to them, I wouldn’t know how caring turtles can be
If I had listened to them, I wouldn’t know how amazing pet turtles can be

Dear Kame
They told me I am weird
They told me I am crazy
They told me I am silly Read more of this post

Teaser Tuesday – My First Chicken Soup

undefined

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  1. Grab your current read
  2. Open to a random page
  3. Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  4. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  5. Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This is my first Chicken Soup. I never had any desire to read such a book before because to I already have the prefect book for soul enlighten, The One book, my holy book, Qur’an. However, when I knew about this book, I HAVE TO read it because of the love I have for my pets.

The book that I am reading now is already translated into Indonesian language. To share my teaser,  I have to re-translate it into English…so, forgive me  if it doesn’t sound  exactly like the original sentence.

My teaser is from page 124-124

The kids will hug those animals and bury their head on their soft fur, then they will talk to them and keep on talking because they know that those animals will listen to them patiently, in silence, with eyes full of love and acceptance, as long as they need them.

I choose this teaser because I know how those kids feel,  every time I see my turtles’ eyes and I know they love me and listen to me.
