I just want to tell you that our blog is having our 2nd BLOGanniversary today

We are so excited to have such wonderful friends.

I am here to thank you ALL for helping mommy got through her worst day when she lost our dear sister, Kame.

Thank you for being such good friends to her :hug:

Funny thing is, Mommy remembers our BLOGanniversary but she couldn’t remember her own BLOGanniversary…I guess that proves we are so special to her

Good Bye Kame…We Will Miss You With All Our Heart

Life can sometimes be unfair…but all living things must eventually died.

For years I couldn’t bear the thought of losing my loved ones…but I kept losing one after another in such close period. First my mom, now my baby turtle, Kame, that I love so very much…even more than Kroten. I wished I know what had happened but there was no clear signs.

Today, I found my sweet sweet Kamechan lying unmoving on the bottom of her tank. As always, I came to their tank the minute I arrived at home.I found Kroten welcoming me but Kame still laid in the tank. I took both out and Kame was not moving at all.

I couldn’t contain my tears…why? why? I asked everyone and no one seemed to have  the answer.

I love her too much like my own child. Ow God, why did you take her away from me so soon? She was supposed to live for 30 years.

She wasn’t as cheerful as her usual  self ever since we moved to our new house…but she still ate a lot. So…what went wrong?

I just hope whatever the cause was will not affect my other turtle, Kroten. I can’t bear losing them both.

All that is left now is to let her go with open heart. Thank you my sweet Kamechan for this wonderful and unforgettable 5 year.You have been the light of my life.

I will remember you and  love you….always!!!!! I hug you for the last time and will never see your adorable face again starting tomorrow.

Announcing Our 1st Bloganniversary

Hi…

This is my first time writing in mommy’s blog. I am bit nervous here.

My name is Kame, I am Novroz’ pet-turtle. The picture on the right is my younger sister, Kroten.

We made a deal with mommy, we wrote in her blog while she wrote in our blog

We are here to tell you  that our blog is having our first blog-anniversary.

When mommy decided to make our blog,she had  prepared herself to be called Crazy as  no one would believe that turtles can actually type We are glad that she made the blog despite all the look people were giving her.

Mommy loves us so much, every time you visit this blog you see us. The silhouette of her blog background is me and  the header is Kroten. She used my picture for her Teaser Tuesday post and will soon use Kroten’s picture for her Monday book meme, It’s Monday What are you reading.

Now let’s talk about our blog. After a year, we have so many furry friends. as well as some human friends. We are still looking for another reptile blogger, we hope we can find one that as active as we are (or as active as our furry friends).

To Be The Fastest

This is my second turtle story. After writing the first one, The World of Cats and Turtles, I becomes addicted in writing this kind of short story that put heavy emphasize on SHORT, because it is really short

I like writing my story with pictures, it’ll give a smile on the reader’s face. (at least, I hope it’ll make someone smiles)

Here goes the story:

After winning the All-Turtles Championship as the fastest turtle alive, Kame started behave as if she was the fastest living creature in this world. No turtles dared to challenge her. She started challenging anyone, or should I say any creature, around her. She defeated the fastest snail easily. She sneered at the leech that she had left miles away. Even the legendary fastest worm had to eat his tail when Kame humiliated him in front of his adorer. Her head became bigger than she could handle.

One day, while having her beauty sunbath she saw her next opponent. A young boy by the name of Iqbal. He was crawling around and seemed like an easy pray. Kame challenged him and he took the challenge. The race was done at the same day, without giving any chance for the boy to learn more about being the fastest. Kame thought that this creature called human was as easy as other creatures because he walked on 4 legs just like her.

To her surprise, the boy crawled faster than any creature she had met. Kame forced all her energy to run as fast as she could, her great name was on jeopardy. She had to win. She ran and ran and ran. The boy kept on crawling because he loved crawling even without a race to think about. On the finish line, the boy won only by a few seconds. Kame was devastated. She couldn’t believe her eyes.

In The World of Cats and Turtles

I have 3 pictures of Kame and Kroten with cats around my house…none of the cats are mine.

The pictures are quite interesting and I try to make a story out it…it’s just for fun

Once upon of time when cats ruled the world, life for turtles was not easy. Turtles lived in danger of being killed by the cats. The Cat-King loved turtle’s meat and declared that killing turtles for food was not a crime at all. All turtles were living in fear.

One day, a young turtle named Kroten, who had mastered the art of ninja, decided to take an action to fight the tyranny. She set her mind to go fight the Cat-King. On her journey, she met the Cat-General. The cat-general thought that Kroten looked so delicious. He was eyeing her, thinking of the best way to eat her.

“This yellow turtle looks incredibly delicious” thought Cat-General, “pour butter on her and grilled her for 2 hours is the best way to cook her”. Saliva was running out of the Cat-General Mouth and he lurched at Kroten.

Happy Arrival-Month Kamechan

Finally…October is here the month that meant a lot to me, the month where my cute baby turtle arrived in my custody.

I call October as Kame’s arrival month, I couldn’t call it as birth-month because she wasn’t born on October. I can’t remember the date when she arrived because at that time, I didn’t know that Kame will become one of the most important living creatures in my life.

In October 2006, she was brought by my brother because her previous owner got tired with her. She has been living with me ever since, this October she’ll be 4 years old. I enjoyed everyday I spend with her, she brings smile into my life. When my mom and dad were away for almost 6 months and I was all alone at home, she and kroten were the ones that kept me company. It’s true that they can’t speak, but they have eyes that can wash away all my loneliness.

#5 Blue Turtle

This picture was taken under UVB lamp. When I took the picture, I didn’t know that the lamp will give this kind of effect. Kame was looking straight at me with that curious face of her, I took the picture and… Voila, the effect was more than I expected. I once used this picture as my avatar. It was taken on December 01, 2008.
