Jakarta at NHK BSプレミアム & The First L’Arc~en~Ciel’s DVD in Indonesia

Note: At first…I only want to share about the DVD but then one amazing moment happens and need to be shared so badly

Laruku had shared their 20th L’Anniversary World Tour in New York, London and Jakarta. It’s  in NHK BSプレミアム.

I let you all see how AMAZING the audience was…this is how a concert supposed to be!! (still feeling a bit disappointed with DC Concert’s Audience) and how awesome L’arc~en~Ciel is. May 2nd will forever be one of the most beautiful nights in my life. I have no regret now.

I am so happy that I was part of this amazing L’Arc~History. I was shot at minute 1:20 … so proud that I was there singing their song with all my heart…just like the tittle of the song: My Heart Draws a Dream that night

I know many people who say that they don’t listen to American Idol or X-Factor because those singers aren’t real singer.

Well…I have different set of mind compared to them. In my opinion, those singers who took their chances in Idol are as great as any singer who found their luck without joining any TV reality shows. Some even better than the ones who are lucky enough to have father in the same industry.

I am not going to name names…but I bet you know some singers who aren’t THAT good but have record just because they have money or their father used to be a musician too. For someone who isn’t so fortunate with money, joining Idol is one of their ways.

David Cook is the best Idol EVER, in my opinion. I have never followed Idol season like I followed his season. When I first saw him singing Livin’ On A Prayer, I was hooked instantly…great voice! He kept on shining the whole season. I love his voice and his way or rearranging the songs to fit his voice. His daring performance by choosing The World I Know by Collective Soul when he supposed to sing songs he had sung before is an inspiration…that song is really beautiful and I love Collective Soul.

L’Arc~en~Ciel World Tour 2012 Is Finally Over – We Will Wait For Your Return To Jakarta

L’Arc~en~Ciel finally wrap up their concert in Hawaii…although they considered Kokuritsu (Tokyo) concert as the Final.

I am going to share a lot of things in this post…mostly about how our love is returned by them

After Jakarta’s concert, the band headed to Korea. One of my old fellow L’Arc-addicts was there to see it. Oktavia Ratnasari (whom I used to call as Setsu) was living in Korea at this moment. Read her report here> Setsu’s Live Report.

After Korea, they went back to their home, Japan. They held their concerts in Yokohama, Osaka and Tokyo. I don’t usually write about their concert that I didn’t see…but these concerts are special…at least to us, Indonesian Cielers.

Akhirnya…Sabtu pun tiba, saat postingan ini diterbitkan waktu menunjukkan 4 hari 20 jam menjelang konser yang paling gw tunggu2 selama 11 tahun.

Mulai hari ini sampai sabtu depan gw akan menulis HANYA tentang L’Arc~en~Ciel dan dalam 2 bahasa (kecuali tulisan 5 alasan kenapa gw ngefans gila sama Larc, itu Cuma English aja)…alasannya sederhana aja, karena ada teman2 gw yang ga bias bahasa Indonesia dan senang membaca apapun yang gw tulis. Gw dah coba liat pake google translate ternyata tulisan ini jadi ga berjiwa gw setelah lewat google…jadilah gw sedikit merelakan waktu untuk menulis 2 kali…hitung2 memberitahukan dunia betapa gilanya fans Laruku di Indonesia

Kita lanjut ke pokok postingan ini

Beberapa hari belakangan ini…eh mungkin malah beberapa minggu belakangan ini, gw yang jarang FBan tiba2 jadi rajin banget…dan tempat yang dituju tak lain dan tak bukan adalah L’Arc~en~Ciel Indonesia … tempat dimana ribuan pengemar L’Arc~en~Ciel berkumpul. Biasanya gw cuma memantau aja ada info2 apa tapi semakin dekat hari bersejarah yang gw tunggu2 semakin ingin rasanya berkomunikasi dengan ribuan orang2 yang sama gilanya dgn gw itu.

Kegilaan mereka, termasuk gw, mungkin akan dipandang berlebihan oleh orang2 yang ga ngerti rasanya menunggu selama ini…penuh harap setiap ada gossip Laruku bakal datang … bahkan gw dah sampai pada titik dimana gw dah ga percaya lagi semua gossip mereka bakal dating… sampai hari itu datang, hari dimana L’Arc~en~Ciel mengumumkan kedatangan mereka ke Jakarta.

Konser Laruku ini bagaikan sebuah festival meriah … gw ga pernah merasakan aura mau nonton konser seperti yang gw rasakan sekarang. Ini bukan sekedar menunggu konser dimulai…ini sebuah Festival besar2an yang mencakup seluruh Indonesia.

In my series of Tribute to L’Arc~en~Ciel, I always begin each month with Laruku’s album…But for this month, True will be delayed till 2 weeks from now…because I’ve just seen this concert

Are You Ready? Mata Haato ni Hi o Tsukeru! In Okinawa is a Live DVD from the year of 2007, it was before Theater of Kiss. But I bought Theater of Kiss instead of this Live because Theater of Kiss consists of all songs from the album KISS…Now I regret that decision!! I should have bought this DVD too.

The concert starts with a little animation of stars and rainbow. And then their name appears one by one and each name is shot by an arrow to burn the name. It is quite catchy. When their logo for this concert was burnt, we can hear the intro of Seventh Heaven. Ken is wearing a formal shirt, looking like a man who is just coming from work to hang out with his friends. Yuki-Nichan is wearing sleeveless t-shirt and it shows all his muscle from drumming. Nichan’s hair is a bit unusual, it looks like Mohawk but not exactly. Tetchan is wearing his … I don’t know how to say this … wearing his own style . Hyde is following Tetchan, wearing many kinds of clothes thrown into one, a short vest on top of sleeves t-shirt, a tight black pant under his leopard look a-like pant, a long coat *I think* wrap around his hip, it makes him looks like wearing skirt.

Seventh Heaven is a perfect song for dancing and from the beginning of the song till the end, Hyde keeps on moving his body (and his hip – off course). I love seeing him move his body like that…makes me start thinking dirty … hehe. Hyde is really in his high energy throughout this concert, he won’t stop shaking his hip and makes my heart stops from time to time. Yuki is also in his high spirit, even when he isn’t drumming he keeps moving his head ups and downs…and don’t ask about Tetchan!! Who know how he always jumps around while playing bass. I think Ken is the only one with less energy here, I’ve seen him better before.

This Is It

I’m not sure whether to categorize this movie as movie or music…but I decided to put it as Music….just like when I usually write my reviews on certain concert.

I am not Michael Jackson biggest fans! I love his music..that’s true! but I don’t collect all his album or follow his career….For me, he is an amazing artist but I am not a fan. As I said in my previous post about they who captured my attention, I put Michael in group 3

This group consists of those I really like, I don’t listen to them daily and I don’t have complete collection of their works…but I often listen to them, they give extra color in my heart

I wanted to see this movie the minute I saw the trailer… but I’ve been busy with my mom and my job. when Wulan told me it was amazing…I had to find a way to see it. Fortunately, yesterday I didn’t have class and so did my best friend, Mery…so THIS IS IT! here we come!!!!

I enjoy every minute of that show. It really captured the best of Michael’s talent and the his greatest concert ever…or should I say, his supposed to be greatest concert ever.

The training stage, that’s how I like to call it, and the rehearsal showed how amazing the concert will be.

The 1st song was a song I now so well but I never could remember the title. Next came Jam with a great dance choreography. Before the next song began, we could see the preparation to make 5 people turn into thousands of people, it was going to be use as the background for They Don’t Really Care About Us, one of my favorite songs. The following song is an old ballad which I’m not so sure about its title…I think it was Why o Why (i’m not sure tho).

The Producer, and of course Michael, were shooting the background for Smooth Criminal, it was identical with the old version but with a bit more effect. And as always, Smooth Criminal was performed is an awesome way. The next song was The Way You Make Me Feel, Michael remixed this song into something slower but it was only in the beginning, the rest of the song was just like it’s usual beat. Then Michael sang a collection of Jackson 5 songs, such as I Want You Back and I’ll be there.

I Just Can’t Stop loving You came next…it is also one of my favorite songs…Michael was duetting with a woman…and it was a great duet. They also made a short film to open Thriller…and we got to see that famous dancing I like their make up…way better than the old one. Beat It and Black or white came afterward.

This isn’t something exaggerate, I cried when Michael sang Earth Song, this song had made me shed a tear the 1st time I heard it, and yesterday is no exception. The way Michael sings it, the music and the feeling given to the song and the background film that really scared me and it made me cried. I have been aware of Global Warming and Illegal logging for quite some times and this song really hit the nail…seeing a forest turn into dust really set me off.

The most interesting part in Billie Jean was Michael’s dance…I couldn’t believe that someone who moved like the healthiest man alive died few days later. The rehearsal was closed by Man in The Mirror, a song that touch my heart like earth Song.

Everything about this documentary was worth to watch!! I wish I can see it again, but time is something I don’t have right now.

AKHIRNYA YANG DITUNGGU2 MUNCUL….MR.BIG

Ah gw jauh bgt di belakang GW BENCI FESTIVAL!!!! Jadilah gw terpaksa menikmati Mr. Big dgn jinjit2…hiks.

Lagu pertama mereka adalah Daddy Brother. Permainan mereka masih sekeren dulu n om Eric masih cute bgt pdhl dah mulai berumur. Trus mereka bawain Take Over yang disusul dgn Green-Tinted. Co yang diri dibelakang gw hafal semua lagunya. Gw walopun banyak tau lagunya tapi ga hafal semua…paling hafal yang Balad2nya. Alive and Kickin menyusul kemudian. Gw suka latarnya yg kayak sinar2 biru gitu.

Lalu muncullah duet maut pertama Billy Sheehan dan Paul Gilbert. Sayang suara bassnya kurang kedengaran. Duet tersebut membuka lagu Next Time Around. Paul lagi2 menunjukkan kemampuan gilanya dgn gitar and dimulailah lagu Hold Your Head Up. Lalu laguyang membuat semua orang turut bernyanyi bersama pun muncul, satu lapangan nyanyi bareng lagu Wild World….I love this song by Yusuf Islam.

Berikutnya Eric minta qt ngikutin dia ber o o -ria n memulai lagu Temperamental. Di lagu berikutnya qt2 para penonton bertepuk tangan mengiringi lagu It’s For You…seru banget loh. Paul pun sempat pamer kemampuan lagi…inilah kenapa gw suka bgt band2 Amrik tahun 90an gitar mereka keren2. Pat torpey pun ikut2an solo drum. Lalu lagu Price You Gotta Pay mulai dinyanyikan. Di lagu ini Eric ber-scat-ria dan qt ngikutin dia

Setelah lagu Take a Walk, Paul kembali menunjukkan kemampuannya dgn bersolo pake gitar double neck. Trus Billy muncul dan terjadilah duet Paul and Billy, kali ini suara bass Billy lebih terdengar. Duet kali ini terdengar lebih indah drpd duet yang pertama. Untuk lebih meramaikan duet tersebut, Eric dan si drummer turun tangan bantuin Paul and Billy.

Eric bilang “We’re gonna play a song about someone leaving you” dan semua orang di lapangan itu bernyanyi Just Take My Heart bersama Mr.Eric Martin….I love this moment. “I give my everything if only I can turn you around…but if this is goodbye…Just take my heart when you’re gone, I don’t have the need for it anymore“

Billy rupanya ga mau kalah ma Paul…dia pun menunjukkan kemampuannya ngebetot bass…sinting abis deh!! itu bass dah kayak gitar aja…masa bass ditapping?! Jari2 Billy cuepat buanget. Lagu terakhir (pura2nya terakhir) adalah Addicted to That rush…Setelah lagu itu mereka masuk ke dalam.

Penonton berteriak2 “we want more….we want more…we want more…“

Mereka keluar lagi dan Eric ngenalin masing2 personelnya “….and I…am…the…one…who…wants…to…be…with…you” kyaaaa semua orang berteriak…lagu paling pamungkas Mr.Big dinyanyikan oleh semua orang yang ada di lapangan Ancol…”Comeon baby, come on over, let me be the one to show you…I’m the one who wants to be you, deep inside I hope you feeling too, waiting on the line just to be the next to be with you”….kyaaaa keren bgt, suara Eric, gitar accoustic Paul dan suara penonton semuanya sempurna….gw dah berkali2 ngulang bagian ini di kamera gw. Dan merekapun menutup Live ini dgn sebuah lagu yang ngebeat, tapi gw lupa apa.

Hebaaaat….walopun ga seratus persen puas (bukan karena penampilan Mr.Bignya tapi karena ga bisa benar2 liat mereka) tapi gw ga nyesel sedikitpun berdesak2an di tempat itu. Mr.Big masih Big walopun mereka sempat vakum n baru kembali bareng lagi bulan February ini.

Aaaaa I live this moment…ayo2 band 90an pada bermunculan…jangan band2 2000an aja.

Gw sampai rumah jam 4 pagi…untung ga dimarahin hehehe….dimarahin pun gapapa demi Mr.Big
