New Monthly Murphy Badge

Since today is valentine, even though I never celebrate valentine (not my custom) but I think it’s a perfect day to share a bit of Cillian Murphy’s love life on screen ;)

I am not going to write long introduction here, just look ate the women (and man) and some of the most romantic quote on his movies (Fortunately….imdb.com has all my favorite quotes, so I don’t have to rewatch all the movies to quote them). You can read my old reviews by clicking the title.

On The Edge

Jonathan: You wanna know the truth? If it’s a matter of life and death between people like you and me, then I want to outlive you. And I want to see what happens to you. ‘Cause I like ya.
Rachel Row: I don’t know.
Jonathan: What if we are still together in a year?
Rachel Row: Would we be?
Jonathan: I can see it happening.
Rachel Row: I don’t know. So do you think you love me?
Jonathan: I know I love you.

Both Jonathan (Cillian) and Rachel (Tricia Vessey) are patients in a mental institution. Jonathan has difficulty to try winning Rachel’s heart.

5 Movies I Have Rewatched So Many Times

Click this button to read more post on my Top-5 list

This month’s top 5 is inspired by my fellow movie blogger, the successful Scott at Front Room Cinema. He had these mumbling posts which always have great idea to mumble. At first, I wanted to do top 3 TV Series but I have been discovering interesting British TV series lately, so I delay that top 5 because it might change after I saw those hilarious series. Scott’s mumble about To Rewatch or Not To Rewatch intrigued me to write this top 5.

I am a re-do person, meaning that I don’t mind re-watching movies or re-reading books up to the point that might turn people to boredom (I will do rereading post next month)…but not me. The reason is not because I want to explore the movie to get into more details…the reason is simply because I love the movies too damn much and I hardly find it boring even after viewing it for so many times.

This will be a list of 4 movies and 1 miniseries that almost feel like a series of movies.

Let’s begin :)

#5 Terminator (1 and 2)

I do not own the movie but TV often rerun it and I always end up watching it when I have nothing to do. Those two movies (ignoring the other 2) are still as amazing as the first time I saw it. It’s like the movies were made nowadays instead of back then in the 80s and 90s.

Top-5 Cillian Murphy’s Movies

Click this button to see my other top-5 list

I wanted to write this post since months ago…but I patiently waited for this month to come. This month is perfect for me to share my favorite Cillian Murphy’s movies as his birthday is on May 25. This is the first out of 3 posts I am planning to write for Cillian’s birthday. I have asked some of my blogger-friend to write about him on that date, some had agreed to do it, thank you guys :)

Writing top-5 movies by Cillian Murphy is much much harder than writing top-5 by Keanu Reeves (which I have written last year). Cillian’s movies have two sides to share, the movie itself and the outstanding performances he had done in it. Some of the movies I considered as his best don’t show his true acting ability. Not many people know that he is such a versatile actor who has never played similar character. He always wanted to do new characters, and when the character appealed him, he didn’t care whether it will be a box office or not, he will pursue the role.

He has appeared in these movies: (The red ones are the ones I haven’t seen yet because I still couldn’t find it yet) Read more of this post

Mirror Mirror On The Wall: Who’s The Prettiest Cillian Murphy of Them All

Click this button to seemore post on Monthly Murphy

This April edition of Monthly Murphy comes with a poll.

If you aren’t a big fan of Cillian Murphy, you probably didn’t know that he has done 3 cross-dressing characters … well, 2,5 to be exact.

I was wondering which one is his prettiest character.

I hope, even though you are not a fan, you will also cast your vote. I include some pictures for you to judge ;)

First, I will introduce you to the ‘man’ behind these pretty faces.

The picture on the right is Cillian Murphy, an extremely handsome MAN with very gorgeous eyes. He is STRAIGHT!! I know some people who don’t know him much think that he is gay…but he is not gay!! I am sure he is 100% straight. He is married to Yvonne McGuiness and has 2 cute sons.

He loves playing unique characters and that’s why he had done 2 transvestites and 1 man who doesn’t mind to dress in woman suit for his job. I will not talk about the movie, for that you can just click on the movie title which will lead to my review on the movie (I haven’t reviewed Sunburn yet)

So…here are the contestants:

Desert Island DVDs

Just noticed this cool blog event from Olive’s Blog, Movienewsfirst, and as you can see my side bar. I love Challenges and memes, but I have never seen anything related to movie till now.

This wonderful idea was originally posted by Andi of fandangogroovers, A lot of people are joining to share their Desert Island DVDs and it’s interesting to read them all :)

Here’s the task:

Imagine yourself stranded on a desert island, by some strange miracle (maybe the Dharma Initiative have something to do with it) you have a DVD player and monitor but only eight movies to watch on it.  Not knowing how long until you are rescued you may have to watch them over and over again.  Which eight movies would you pick?

Hehe the idea is very simple and yet very amusing. It didn’t take long for me to think, coz the movies I’ve watched over and over again are my favorite movies. So if I was stranded in a desert island, I wish I have brought these 8 DVDs (all of them are movies that I’ve watched more than 3 times and still craving for more)

This is the best terminator movie. I like all four of them but if I can only bring one then this one will be it. I’ve watched this movie countless time. I remembered going to the cinema 3times and I always watch it every time the local-TVs play this movie again and again.

The story is so simple but it captures my heart deeply like no other drama had ever done before. This is my number 1 Cillian Murphy’s movie. I saw this movie for the 1st time a month ago and I’ve seen it 4times ever since. And planning to see it again somewhere next month.

Breakfast On Pluto

Indonesian version << here (soon)

If you live in my country, mark my word when I say British Movie is not as famous as Hollywood movie…then again when you think about it, Hollywood is controlling the world. I’ve come across quite a lot of good British movies lately…maybe because I’ve paid more attention toward that country then I ever before. It’s a shame that British Movies are overshadowed by Hollywood Movies.

I recently fell in love with Cillian Murphy and started looking for his movies, the newest movie (new in term of I just found it not new in term of release date) I watched was Breakfast on Pluto …. I love this movie. I love it so much I decided to write about it in 2 languages, my own native language, Bahasa (Indonesian Language) and English, so that I can promote this movie to everyone in my country and abroad.

Breakfast on Pluto can also be called as Chapters of my Life by Patrick ‘Kitten’ Braden

The story is about the life of a boy or should I say a girl named Patrick Braden, he was left in front of a certain doorstep, which happened to be the house of a Priest. He was then raised by a foster mother. As he grew older, his attitude was no longer of a boy, hw had transformed into a girl…a girl who was trapped in a boy’s body. His foster mammy had tried to make a boy out of her only to realize that that there was nothing she could do.
