Indo Bloggers Meet Up and The Mighty Boosh DVD

If someone told me that internet will never create friendship…that person is 100% WRONG. In my life as a blogger, I have met so many nice people whom I considered as friends. They help me get through the worst days of my life (when my mom and my pet died). Yes, it’s true that we only know each other through internet but somehow, for me, this long distance friendship is as important as real life friendship. I wish I can meet all my blogger friends across the world…but it’s a difficult dream.

When Ruth @ Flixchatter told me that she will come to Jakarta in the middle of December, I was ecstatic. She has been one of my long blogger friends and to my surprise she told me that she is an Indonesian who has been living in Minnesota for more than 10 years. Most of her family is still here in Jakarta.

Last Thursday (December 13, 2012), we finally met up…along with Andina @ Inspired Ground (whom I have met earlier when we both attended What’s Next After Blogging workshop) and Cecilia Rusli (she is one of Flixchatter’s contributors). We can easily called the meeting as Female Indo-Bloggers Gathering (although gathering sounds a bit like a lot of people instead of only the four of us ;) )

Miyavi, Live @ Hard Rock Café Jakarta

Miyavi used to be a visual kei rock musician, I said used to because last night he no longer looked like visual kei musician. Miyavi has unusual songs, fun and hard rock at the same time…but his striking point is in his ability to play guitar. Miyavi was born under the name Takamasa Ishihara His stage name used the last kanji in his name, 雅- MIYAVI.

To be honest…I am not a huge fan of Miyavi…I like his music but I don’t follow his career much. I haven’t heard his latest album yet. I like his music because he has different style compared to other J-Rock musicians.

When I first heard he was going to come to Jakarta, I was determined to come (although I still had a bit of money problem)…fortunately the ticket was very cheap because he came here under the invitation by Hard Rock Café. It was Hard Rock Café 20th anniversary.

I AM GLAD I CAME…HE WAS FREAKIN AMAZING!!

I came to hear his music but music was not the only thing I got, I never expected him to be THAT handsome!! My God, he is soooo handsome. His charisma was oozing everywhere as he played his guitar. Read more of this post

Jak Japan Matsuri 2012

Last Sunday, September 30, 2012, I went to the fourth year of Jak-Japan Matsuri, a Japanese festival on Jakarta as a celebration of a good relationship between Japan and Indonesia.

The event, as always, was held in Monas, Jakarta’s landmark.I wrote this post in both Bahasa Indonesia and English. Click on the image that represents your language :)

David Cook Live @ Jakarta, July 17 – 2012 : You Trully Have Amazing Voice

David Cook’s performance at Jakarta on July 17 was AWESOME … I couldn’t say that the whole concert was awesome but at least I was having a blast with his awesome performance.

I am a bit unsure how to best share this live report, the disappointing part first or the best part first. I don’t want to give impression that I didn’t like David Cook’s concert but I am in a way disappointed with the promoter and the audience. Since the first time I received the confirmation of my ticket (you can read it here) I was not convinced that this new promoter will do great things toward my favorite American Idol.

When I arrived at the venue I was shocked with so lack of David Cook’s attribute around the venue…It was the opposite of L’arc~en~Ciel’s concert where the banner can be seen 200 meters before the venue. The promoter is so damn stingy. It was the first time I went to a concert that felt so quite. They didn’t promote David Cook’s concert enough. They almost had no sponsor.

I knew that there will be an opening act by Indonesian Idol top-6 but what I was expecting to see was different with what I saw. I thought it was only going to be like 30 minutes performance but it extended to almost 2 freakin hours!! IT WAS TERRIBLY BORING!! I DIDN’T COME THERE TO SEE THEM!! I was quite happy with some of Regina’s performances, she was the winner of this year’s Indonesian Idol, and also with Judika’s performance (I think he was from second season)…the two were worth seeing…but somehow the runner up sang more than the winner and I really don’t like her voice which is nothing special at all. I WAS SO BORED AND SCREAMED WE WANT DAVID COOK!!

Fortunately…when I was almost losing my mind, the opening act finally over. Thank God!! Read more of this post

13 Favorite Cosplay From Ennichisai (縁日祭) 2012

Last Sunday (June 1, 2012) I went to another Japanese Matsuri, it was 縁日祭 (Ennichisai)I always enjoy Japanese Matsuri because of many things, one of them is the Cosplayers.

For those who don’t know what cosplay is, it’s a Japanese term for people who likes to dress up as anime or manga or game characters. Nowadays, even the western world adopted the term. Japanese are people who like to shorten English terms, such as Convenient Store becomes Kombini. Cosplay originated from Costume Player.

Here are 13 cosplayers that I like so much in no particular order: (To Know more about Ennichisai, please see >>PAGE 2<< )

Konser Laruku (L’Arc~en~Ciel) – 11 Tahun Penantian Yang Tidak Sia-Sia

English version is HERE

IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING CONCERT I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!

MEREKA DEKAT BUANGET!!!!

Gw cuma 2 meteran dr Hyde, sayangnya dr Yuki ttp aja jauh ;)

Luar biasa guanteng…aaaaaa gw pengen teriak teriak mulu tiap liat Yuki.

Karena itu, gw pake foto2 dari internet aja :) Read more of this post

Live Report From L’Arc~en~Ciel Concert in Jakarta (English Version)

Baca versi Bahasa Indonesia di sini

IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING CONCERT I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!

I often said that I like Muse but then I love Muse after I saw their concert…but L’Arc~en~Ciel is the band I have already loved with all my heart even before I saw the concert…and now that I have seen their concert…I LOVE THEM BEYOND WORDS!!

They will always be the best band in the whole wide world for me :)

Ow…I don’t know where to begin, I still feel like I am in a dream…a dream that I wish never to stop…the concert was SUPER AMAZING!!!  And to top it all…I GOT WHAT I WANT!!! I WAS THERE RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE STAGE, CLINGING TO THE BARRIER…. GYAAAAAAAAAAA… they were so f*ckin close!!!

Hyde – Credit: Lionindra Harviana (click on the pic)

I stand about 2 meters from Hyde!!! Gyaaaaa, it was unbelievable!! He is even more beautiful in real life…ow my God, how could You create the prettiest man alive to have such beautiful voice? He is prettier than most woman I have seen!! And right behind Hyde is Yuki….aaaaaaaaaahhhh!!! Yuki is incredibly handsome, and those biceps…oh my God, I am speechless! Ken is enjoying the concert despite of the heat. Ken is always Ken! Techan also often stood so close to me, ow he is sooooo cute!!! But…my attention was mostly toward Yuki and Hyde ;)

Because I have been waiting for them for 11 years, I don’t feel like taking any photo and video of their live, I want to enjoy every minute second of the concert with my own eyes and ears, I didn’t want to be distract by taking my mobile and shot the concert. They won’t allow camera but even if there was no such rule, I still had no intention to take pictures…therefore I am relying on the internet to provide me with photos ;) Read more of this post

20 Hours to The Most Historical Concert in My Life (L’Arc~en~Ciel Concert)

You have come a long way
Everything is for today

(The dream for you is now sparkling before your eyes
It’s blessed by snow falling like petals)

By the time I posted this, the concert is only … hours away :)

I am crazy with anticipation. I can’t even say much here!! I am lost for words…all I want to do is dream about tomorrow…the day where I can finally admit that DREAMS DO COME TRUE.

Today we changed our ticket voucher into real ticket…my friends and I were super excited.

Here’s the situation on Raja Karcis, where we changed our voucher with real ticket:

We opened it straight away :)

Because I have VIP Package, I received one towel and one ID card that I can keep forever…and of course a place to stand so damn close to the stage :) Read more of this post
