Eid Mubarak 1433 H

Note: EĪd ul-Fitr (Idhul Fitri in Indonesian Language) is a special day for Muslim, we had done a month of Fasting (fortunately, my turtles don’t do fasting ;) ) and now it’s time for a celebration and forgiveness. On this day, we look back at everything we had done and hope for everyone to forgive all our wrong doing and we to forgive yours so that we can start another day with pure heart.

    Novroz,
What a wonderful surprise Novroz! It is 23:38pm at night for me now and yes I have been told it’s Eid over here in the UK. Eid Mubarak Aidilfitri Novroz, mohon maaf zahir batin, may this is be another year of blessing for you. :D

may this be a year full of blessing to you too Jo :)

I wonder how is it feel to have eid in Muslim minority country…hope you still have a lot of joy as it is here.

        Novroz,
Not the same Novroz and I don’t wish for anyone to have Eid far from their friends and families. When I was in Malaysia it was merry but over here it is just our small little family unit, :( One day, one day I will be back home, for good. ;)

Eid Mubarek Novroz! Outside the my small world, very nice to know that there is people who share the same feelings. I hope, I pray that all Muslims can feel the happiness and peace of these days. In Arakan, in Somalia, in Palestinian…

      Eid Mubarak Sungin :)
I bet Turkey is as merry as my country :) We visit our relatives here.
It is sad knowing that in some parts of the world, Muslims aren’t as happy and peaceful as we are, but I know they are still loved by Allah and still feel the blessing of Eid.

It’s good to look back and ask for forgiveness it will help to not make the same mistakes twice or hurt people again, I think. Many blessings to you.

    • Novroz August 20, 2012 at 2:42 pm

We are only human…we bound to make the same mistakes again…it’s inevitable but at least we tried to forgive each other.
      Thank you Caroline :)

It is so important to realize we are human and that we make mistakes. Asking for forgiveness is never easy, but it does help. Thank you.

Muslims in my country also celebrate Ramadan currently. I don’t think I approve of not drinking and eating all day long, especially during extreme summer heat, but I respect their choice. I hear they eat lovely low calorie food when the sun sets :)

    • Novroz August 20, 2012 at 8:42 pm

We are so used with not eating and drinking even at extreme heat, the problems are never in the hunger or thirst, it’s always in sleepiness…at least for me, all I want to do is sleep ;)

Hehehe…here in Indonesia, we eat high calories food to break our fasting, always with sweet food.

      • DEZMOND August 21, 2012 at 3:56 am

that’s the point, Novia, hunger and thirst exhaust your body and make it sleepy, that is how your organism tries to save energy – by going into drowsiness. Do kids also have to fast?

        • Novroz August 21, 2012 at 10:44 am

Not when I am working, it only happens while I am at home.

Kids don’t have obligation to do it but they still do it as a way to practice….but usually only half day till they are strong enough to do it full day. I did a full day fasting since I was 7 years old.

That sounds like a good idea. I can’t think of anything that needs forgiveness (except for TracFone and I’m not ready to let that go yet) but if I think of anything, I’ll forgive it.
