Transformers

The 1st Transformers movie was released about 2 or 3 years ago (I can’t remember the exact year). The story was about a boy named Sam Witwicky (I can’t remember how to spell it) who accidentally encountered an alien breed in form of high-tech robots. There were 2 kinds of robots, the good guys called Autobot and the bad guys named Decepticon. Autobot was led by Optimus Prime while Decepticon was led by Megatron. Sam was helped by a group of army and a girl named Michaela.

What amazed me from this movie was its great special effect…it was amazing!! No surprise there because Stephen Spielberg was involved. At that time, I felt like finding the greatness of Special Effect again. Before Transformers appeared, I felt less enthusiastic seeing movies full of Special Effect due to the amazing effects shown in The Matrix. The Matrix made other Movies with Special Effect become LAME. Transformers opened my eyes again (As for the story, The Matrix is still the best Science Fiction Movie I’ve ever seen)

The 2nd Transformers (Rise of the Fallen) was recently released. It sucked a lot of viewers.

The outline of the story: a millennium ago, a group of robots from cybetron came to earth, one of the robot named Fallen betrayed the group. The primes protected the key to activate a deathly weapon that will destroy the earth. In present time, Optimus Prime and the Autobots alongside with NEST secretly continued protecting the earth from Decepticon. The government tried to keep their existence away from the public. Sam became the key in finding the area of the deathly weapon and its key (called Matrix). I don’t want to write too many information in here…the rest of the story is something you have to watch it for yourself.

Personally, I like this second movie more than the 1st one because it is more intense and greater special effects….correction: more amazing special effects. It is a full action without time to breath…I love this kind of movie!! Both the action and the special effects were awesome!! I love every moments of it…well almost every moments!! There are parts intended to be funny which I found irritating. And the female robot is so not right, it’s Transformers NOT Terminator!!

But beside those 2 parts, this movie is perfect, so…my rating for Transformers are 4,5 for the 1st and 4,8 for the 2nd (out of 5)
